Jim Sheldon serves primarily in a general counsel role for individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations, with emphasis in estate planning, probate, business succession, non-profit and real estate law. Having served as the principal city attorney for the cities of Eagan (1987-2000) and Apple Valley (1975-2000), Jim also has extensive municipal law experience.

Jim is actively involved in the South Metro business community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Dakota Electric Association, a 90,000-member electric cooperative.

Jim served as Director of Development for Prince of Peace Church in Burnsville, Minnesota. Jim currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Prince of Peace Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation.
